FC 27 Club Progression: Reputation, Facilities and Coins

Updated September 16, 2026

In FC 26 a club was a name, a crest and a division. In FC 27 a club is an economy. It has a reputation that tiers up and multiplies what you earn, facilities you buy and sell like assets, a coin balance, and a fan count that is treated as a currency rather than a vanity number.

This page describes all of it from the shipped game's own structure: the Clubhouse menu tree, the facility actions, the reputation strings and the currency identifiers. It is the part of FC 27 Clubs that nobody has written up properly yet, and it is the part that decides how fast your club actually improves.

Reputation: tiers, levels, and a multiplier on what you earn

Club Reputation sits at the top of the Club menu in the Clubhouse, above Facilities and Customize. It is structured as tiers, each containing levels, each tier carrying its own description — and it has a rewards path you navigate to directly.

The detail that makes it matter: reputation is one of the multipliers applied to club match awards. Your reputation does not only describe your club, it changes the size of the payout from every match you play. A low-reputation club and a high-reputation club playing the same fixture do not walk away with the same thing.

Reputation also decides who you play against

The matchmaking layer in FC 27 can accept any reputation or reject clubs with poor reputation. Reputation is therefore not a cosmetic badge: it is a filter on your opponent pool.

The practical read: a club that behaves badly, quits matches or collects the wrong kind of record does not just get a lower number on a menu, it gets a smaller pool of clubs willing to play it. That is a real competitive cost, and it is a new one.

Facilities are a market now, not an upgrade tree

In FC 26 facilities went one direction: you upgraded them. FC 27 adds buy, sell, downgrade and examine as distinct actions. That turns facilities from a progression track into a portfolio you actively manage, where selling a facility to fund another is a legitimate move.

They are also split in two: player facilities and AI facilities, each with its own tab and its own filters. The AI side matters because AI teammates fill the gaps in any club that is not fielding eleven humans, so investing there is investing in the players you do not have.

Facility Cards: effects tied to areas of the pitch

FC 27 adds Facility Cards on top of facilities. Each card has a type, a state, and — the interesting one — a positional area. An effect attached to an area of the pitch is a different design from a flat boost: it rewards building a club around how your side actually plays rather than buying the biggest number available.

We can read the structure of the card system out of the game files; the individual card values are the part we cannot read yet. When they become measurable, they go into the builder alongside the facility boosts already modelled there.

Club Coins and fans as currency

FC 27 runs several balances at once: club coins, archetype coins, and a fan count that the game explicitly treats as a currency. Coins are paid out after matches, on the same post-match screen that shows the XP breakdown and tells you when an Amp expired.

Fans being spendable is the change worth internalising. A fan count used to be a scoreboard for how popular a club was. In FC 27 it is fuel: it goes up when you perform and it goes down when you spend it, which puts club growth on the same loop as everything else — you earn it by playing, and you choose where it goes.

Where this leaves club planning

Put together, FC 27 gives a club three levers that FC 26 did not have: a reputation that multiplies rewards and filters opponents, a facility portfolio that can be rebalanced instead of only grown, and currencies that make every choice a trade-off.

The clubs that pull ahead this season will not be the ones that play the most matches — they will be the ones that spend well. That is a planning problem, and planning problems are what tools are for.

FAQ

What does Club Reputation do in FC 27?

It is organised in tiers and levels with its own rewards path, and it acts as a multiplier on club match awards. It also feeds matchmaking, which can reject clubs with poor reputation.

Can you sell facilities in FC 27 Clubs?

Yes. FC 27 adds buy, sell and downgrade next to upgrade, so facilities can be rebalanced rather than only accumulated.

What is the difference between player and AI facilities?

They are two separate tabs. Player facilities affect your own pro; AI facilities affect the AI teammates that fill out a club that is not fielding eleven humans.

What are Facility Cards?

An extra layer on facilities. Each card has a type, a state and a positional area, so its effect is tied to a part of the pitch rather than being a flat club-wide boost.

Are fans a currency in FC 27?

Yes. The game treats the club fan count as a spendable currency alongside club coins, not as a display number.
