FC 27 Pro Clubs Club Tournaments: 11v11 With House Rules
Updated September 16, 2026
Club Tournaments are the new competitive format inside FC 27 Clubs. They are 11v11 competitions played between clubs, separate from Leagues and Playoffs, and they run under House Rules that change how a match is won. EA describes them as a way for clubs to compete against other clubs beyond the league table, and the first one, a Classic Stadium 11v11 Club Tournament, opens during early access.
This page collects what EA confirmed in The Grounds and Clubs Deep Dive and in the Launch Update of 16 September 2026, adds what the game files say about tournament structure, and explains how tournament matches will surface on FCClub.gg. Where something is not confirmed, it says so.
What a Club Tournament is
FC 27 gives a club a third competitive outlet after the league season and the playoffs. Clubs Live Tournaments are 11v11 competitions that, in EA's words, give clubs "another way to compete against other Clubs beyond Leagues and Playoffs". They are reached from The Clubhouse, the part of The Grounds where the Clubs experience lives.
The game files back this up with dedicated identifiers for an 11v11 club tournament, a club tournament and a club cup, sitting alongside the regular league and playoff match types. There are also post-match strings for a bracket, an elimination and a victory, which points to knockout events with a bracket you progress through rather than a points table. EA has not published bracket sizes or round counts, so treat the format details as unconfirmed until the first tournament runs.
The House Rules: Mystery Ball, King of the Hill and the rest
What makes a tournament different from a league match is the rule set. EA names six House Rules for Clubs Live Tournaments: Mystery Ball, King of the Hill, No Rules, Headers and Volleys, Survival and Long Range.
EA has also said that live events now appear in regular matches, not only in Rush, so a House Rule can turn up in your week outside a tournament too. The shipped game files carry a few more house-rule identifiers inside the Clubs code than the six EA has named, which suggests the list can grow during the year. Which rules a given tournament uses is set per tournament: the Classic Stadium event at early access comes with its own House Rules rather than a rotation of all six.
The Classic Stadium 11v11 Club Tournament at early access
The first tournament has a name and a date. In the Launch Update published on 16 September 2026, EA states that "a Classic Stadium 11v11 Club Tournament launches at early access with its own House Rules, entry requirements, Objectives, and rewards". Early access starts on 18 September for Ultimate and Ultimate Plus Edition pre-orders, so the tournament is live a week before the worldwide release on 25 September.
Four things are confirmed by that sentence and nothing more: it is 11v11, it has entry requirements, it has Objectives attached, and it pays rewards. EA has not said what the requirements are, which House Rules apply, or what the rewards contain. If your club plans to enter, have a full lineup ready during early access.
Tournaments, Leagues, Playoffs and Club Objectives
Tournaments do not replace anything. Leagues and Playoffs return in FC 27, EA references an Elite Division with special objectives for clubs that reach it, and Ranked Rush is listed alongside them. A tournament is an extra event on top of the league season, not a new path to promotion.
What ties them together is Club Objectives. EA's Deep Dive describes three categories: Club Milestones in Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers that earn fans, weekly and seasonal objectives that pay out Amps, Consumables and Coins, and Elite Objectives for the Elite Division. The Classic Stadium tournament arrives with its own Objectives, so tournament play feeds the same reward loop as everything else the club does. The game files also contain a club calendar with events, invitations and RSVP responses, useful for gathering eleven people for a tournament slot.
European Nights in Season 1
EA's Launch Update names one seasonal event: European Nights, a Champions League themed event in Season 1 of FC 27. That is the extent of what has been confirmed. EA has not said whether European Nights is itself a Club Tournament, which House Rules it uses, or what the rewards are.
Given how EA describes The Grounds, with live events and tournaments scheduled through its districts and its seasonal calendar, the reasonable expectation is that European Nights is the first themed event in a rolling schedule, and that further tournaments follow it through the season. We will update this page when EA publishes the details rather than guess at them now.
How tournament results appear on FCClub.gg
FCClub.gg reads club and player data from EA's Clubs API. That API identifies each match by a match type, and today it serves league and playoff matches as two distinct types. Match types are tracked in our data, so tournament matches will show in a club's match history as their own kind of fixture, separate from league form, once EA exposes them through the same API.
Whether and when EA does that is not something we can promise. The public Clubs endpoints are unofficial and unsupported, and at the time of writing they do not return a tournament match type. During early access we probe the API for new match types, and the first week of FC 27 data will tell us whether tournaments arrive on day one or later.
